my favorite thing about these is the really rural feeling these give.
A heavy southern european weight, that would go well also with New Mexican adobe walls, or Italian/French provincial manor style decoration.
Of course there is the whole New Orleans french quarter thing going, but these would loose some of their charm in the weightiness of those spaces.
