BASSACKWARD

Bass's stream of ponchiness.

Design, Steampunk, Graphics, Typography, Photography, Paintings, Interiors, Architecture, Music, Motorcycles, Cars, fashion, and places, all that inspire me.

This is not a sensible space nor really trying to be, instead its the continuous, extreme and ridiculous contradictions of my mind.

rants against hypocritical "greenness", rants for ultra-liberal resurrections of a new NON socialist leftist libertarian, fetishist imagery of gas guzzling devices, modernist graphic design, and obsessive interiors.

A pattern lust affair!

Björk Guðmundsdóttir

No matter what you may feel about her music, denying her curatorial and creative tastes;  her clear and precise choices, would be an absolute disgrace.

She has an incredibly selective and varied palate, which seems to pick the best among them.  (somehow no Tim Burton in the list which may be because he is not in her crowed)

There are a bunch of her older videos on the above site.
Most of them pretty bionic mashup of her sensibilities with the directors perception/interpretations of those sensibilities.

She has gotten some amazing results by some great directors, photographers, artists, fashion designers, and creative teams.
Here are some of them, in no particular order.

Inez+Vinoodh who photographed naked Chloé Seviginy I posted here last week.
Jean-Baptiste Mondino
Stéphane Sednaoui
Nick Knight
Paul White (Mecompany)
Eiko Ishioka
Spike Jonze Who is working on what looks to be a BEAUTIFUL live action adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s “Where The Wild Things Are”.   (preview here.) And YEARS ago when I was a skater, he made my favorite skate video for Mark “Gonz” Gonzales at Blind SkateboardsVideo Days” when Jason Lee was a pro…
Michel Gondry Who makes what I think are really bionic tributes to imagination and creativity with his films. He has also made the great majority of her videos.
Alexander McQueen
Chris Cunningham
Spümcø of “Ren and Stimpy” fame.
Sophie Muller

So Beautiful… I really love the animation… The richness of all the greens, the modeling of the animals and the water, I LOVE it.

#2 is “Triumph of a Heart” from “Medúlla

The cat husband RULES… and the landscape she chooses is so desolately beautiful too.
